Responsibilities

Based out of our Miami office, you will predominantly be responsible for monitoring day-to-day technical operations and handling urgent client incidents in regard to our North and South American clients, hereby supporting your colleagues in global IT and Operations in Europe, widening our current time zone coverage.

In close cooperation with our wider global Operations team, you will carry out technical investigations into service-impairing issues, resolving any arising problems related to our services and infrastructure to ensure optimal service availability.

In your new role as Systems Operations Engineerr, you will become part of the IT-Support & Infrastructure team. As part of the team you will also be responsible for developing and maintaining our current IT infrastructure and systems. Additionally participating and executing on internal IT projects to meet and maintain high standards. Ensuring that our company’s technical assets are running smoothly and always function at the highest possible level.


Typical tasks

  • Manage and monitor installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Monitoring of client applications and services.
  • Screen incoming cases, sorting and handling these based on urgency.
  • Maintaining Windows servers and workstations.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues, internally and to some degree with clients.
  • Be the point of contact for US datacentre related tasks.
  • Be the Miami key contact for Technical Support issues, and work as cover for the offline hours of primary support teams in EU.
  • Participate in the development and execution of short, medium and long-term roadmaps for IT Infrastructure projects and tasks with a clear link to the overall IT unit plans.

You´ll have a prominent role, and it is therefore important you enjoy working independently and efficiently, while having a calm and methodical approach to your work, where motivation cohere with taking on responsibility.

You are sharp on a technical level, professionally curious, and willing to learn.
You have strong communicative skills in English both verbally and in writing.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Hold a relevant degree in information technology.
  • Have experience working with operating, documenting and managing enterprise infrastructure and services.
  • You are experienced with Microsoft Server Active Directory and used to work in a virtualized environment.
  • Have good troubleshooting techniques.
  • Are fluent in English – both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable juggling and prioritising multiple cases/tasks.
  • Strong technical knowledge of troubleshooting software issues on Windows Server OS.

Desirable:

  • You have basic understanding of LAN and WAN networking (Routing and switching protocols, IP addressing and network).
  • You are experienced with Microsoft Server OS, including GPO, DNS and DFS management
  • Experience in working with remote application services management (Citrix/Parallels/AVD).
  • Experience from a software development- and production company.
  • Experience in Audience measurement, or large dataset management.
