The Sherwin-Williams Finance internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in Sherwin Business Services Vendor Master Maintenance.

The internship features a singular Corporate Procurement Department experience, where you’ll learn the business environment of a large corporation.You will gain meaningful exposure to the day-to-day activities and special projects on the Vendor Master Maintenance team within the Corporate Procurement Department.

This internship program is scheduled to begin Summer 2025 and designed to be 10-14 weeks in duration. This role’s schedule is typically 37.5 hours per week during the summer (M-F 8:30AM-5PM).

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.

  • Participate in maintenance on vendor records using Coupa RPMA processes
  • Review and solve record discrepancies with vendors
  • Support the validation of vendor banking updates through Coupa RPMA
  • Coordinate with internal and external contacts to release holds in Coupa portal
  • Assist with onboarding of vendors in Coupa RPMA portal

Leadership Development:

  • Assisting with special projects
  • Building and fostering relationships with new and current suppliers in order to increase efficiency, reduce procurement costs, and improve quality.

Professional Development:

  • Exposure to financial and vendor management systems
  • Development of professional network by collaborating across finance department
  • Enhancing financial and business acumen through skill development
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives

Step 3 – Panel Interview

Your video interview is reviewed by a member of our Recruitment team and our top candidates are invited to meet with out team in a virtual Microsoft teams panel interview.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business at the time of the internship
  • Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Be a rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program
  • Have prior school or work experience in finance, accounting, and business
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and/or Outlook)
  • Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
  • Previous experience in the Sherwin-Williams Corporate Finance Internship Program
