We have an exciting opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our new Multi-Specialty outpatient office located in Malta, NY!
This Albany Med Multispecialty clinic provides care by leading specialists in Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurosurgery, OBGYN, Rheumatology, and UroGyn.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Document information into patient record in an accurate and timely manner
• Maintain timely patient flow
• Ensure that exam rooms are fully stocked and prepared for patient visit
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.)
Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED is required
• Must be certified as a Medical Assistant and have CMA or CCMA certification from an accredited program
• Previous medical/clinical experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work within a team as well as individually
