Epic Travel Staffing is hiring aTravel RN - Medical Surgical Oncology

Shift: Variable D/N, 7a-7:30p / 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • OH License
  • 2 Years Experience
  • BLS
  • Chemo Certification required
  • Must have MS and oncology experience in checklist (1 year minimum)
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy CertificationOncology Certified
  • ACLS preferred
Other Details:

BMT(14 & 15W James) - Oncology - D/N OR NIGHTS - CHEMO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED / Mixed acuity PCU and MS unit
Schedule: No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule. The facility determines the complete schedule, which may include working every weekend. Must be flexible. Maximum 1-2 days RTO (Requested Time Off).
Experience: Must have MS and oncology experience in checklist (1 year minimum)

• Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
• Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Adult)
• Amyloidosis
• Aplastic Anemia
• Chronic Leukemia
• Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)
• Chronic Myeloid (Myelogenous) Leukemia
• Hodgkin's Lymphoma
• Multiple Myeloma
• Myelodysplastic Syndrome
• Myeloproliferative Disorders
• Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Special Procedures/Unit Details:
• Autologous Transplants: Patients receive their own stem cells.
• Syngeneic Transplants: Patients receive stem cells from their identical twin.
• Allogeneic Transplants: Patients receive stem cells from their sibling, parent, or an unrelated donor.
• CAR-T Therapy
Certifications Required:
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
Oncology Certified
Preferred Certifications:
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Skills Required:
• MS/Tele (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry)
• Telemetry monitoring
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Use of Rapid Response Teams
• Feeding tube care and management
• Blood product administration
• Central line blood draw
• Peripheral line care/management
• PICC line management
• Nasal cannula administration
