Job Description
We are looking for an Engineering Specialist. This position will befull-timeand on-site.
What You'll Do
Perform all operations according to our safety requirements and maintain workplace safety in complete alignment with our Total Safety Philosophy
Conduct experiments following established procedures under the direction of a Sr. Scientist to develop new materials with desired properties
Ability to work with hazardous chemicals in a safe manner following existing procedures.
Accurately document all experiments including observations and results and maintain laboratory records
Assist in maintaining laboratory chemical inventory
Assist in maintaining all laboratory and analytical equipment. Identify potential improvements to equipment operations and laboratory procedures
Assist in the development of weekly work objectives
Prepare data with analysis for discussion with development team
What You'll Need
Required:
B.S. in Chemistry or closely related field or A.S. with 0-2 years related industrial experience
Adept in laboratory techniques and equipment. Ability to accurately follow existing laboratory procedures and protocols
Ability to learn new methods and techniques
Experience in chemical research is a plus but not required
Communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with people with positivity from all cultures and at all organizational levels
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
