Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH) partners with Hartford HealthCare to provide exceptional physical and occupational therapy services to our patients. Our physical and occupational therapists work within OAH offices, delivering high-quality care in collaboration with OAH physicians. This position is with Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH) in our Enfield, CT Outpatient Rehab Clinic with the potential to float to other clinics as necessary.
Job Description
This position requires 2 evening shifts to 7pm. This position will also be evaluated and hours will be shifted to other OAH locations if there is a shift in volume. Clinic locations may include: Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Manchester, Plainville, and Rocky Hill.
We’re seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for coverage of our Enfield Orthopedic Associate’s office who has a passion for patient care in the area of outpatient orthopedics. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse population that offers a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best orthopedic physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England!
This is an orthopedic-based office treating a variety of orthopedic cases including sports medicine, hand therapy, dry needling, musculoskeletal disorders, osteoporosis, work injury rehab and more!
Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides assistance in performing structured assessments, and assists in determining, revising and implementing treatment plan in order to identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. Utilizes treatment skills and tools in order to measure and assess patient needs, therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Physical Therapy Assistant Program from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association school, Associates degree required.
- Connecticut registration required.
