Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time, licensed or credentialed veterinary technician / VTS, or an experienced veterinary assistant to join our Oncology team. An oncology technician plays a crucial role in supporting veterinary oncologists and providing care for animals diagnosed with cancer.
Sign on Bonus UP TO $2,500
Key Responsibilities:
· Chemotherapy Treatment, administering medications including chemotherapy drugs, as prescribed by the veterinarian
· Diagnostic support, imaging and laboratory
· Collaborate with a team of specialists to deliver the highest level of care
· Assist with the management of appointments and patient flow efficiency
· Assist with clinical records and referral reports
· Ability to provide emotional support to clients during difficult times
Requirements
· Licensed or credentialed veterinary technician, VTS, or experienced veterinary assistant
· Enthusiastic about working in specialty medicine
· Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
· Excellent communication skills, both with clients and the team, and referring veterinary hospitals
· Proficient with computer systems and comfortable using technology
