Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and principles to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand business needs, goals, and requirements, and translate them into architectural solutions.
- Analyze the current state architecture landscape, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement, and develop a roadmap for transitioning to the target state architecture.
- Design and document enterprise-level architectures, including business, data, application, and technology architectures, ensuring coherence, integration, and scalability across systems and applications.
- Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and guidelines, ensuring consistency, reusability, and interoperability across projects and initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, frameworks, and tools that align with the enterprise architecture strategy and support business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks and challenges, making recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, architects, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing among IT teams, architects, and business stakeholders to drive alignment and leverage synergies across projects and initiatives.
- Mentor and coach architects and other technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and technical excellence.
- 10+ years of experience in the related field
- Active Secret clearance.
- Due to federal requirements, all candidates must be US Citizens without Dual Citizenship to another country.
- This is an on-site position at a government facility.
- Requires presence on-site five days per week in Colorado Springs, CO.
- Candidates must reside within a commutable distance.
- Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar senior-level architectural role, with a track record of designing and implementing enterprise-level architectures.
- Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks, methodologies, and best practices, such as TOGAF, Zachman, and Microservices architecture.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of a broad range of technologies, including cloud computing, microservices, API management, data analytics, and emerging trends such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Team player, fast learner with ability to work proactively and independently to support mission critical operations supporting geographically diverse locations.
