Role Summary:
Join the Flowserve Chesapeake pump manufacturing facility as an Advanced Industrial Painter!
- Prep pump for painting, operate advanced paint equipment.
- Adhere to detailed operating procedures in proximity to mechanical components, in noisy environments, and with occasional exposure to fumes and vibrations.
Requirements:
- Professional Spray Painting experience (industrial equipment preferred).
- Currently working with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in sandblasting, parts finishing, and wet spray.
- Advanced level use of wet spray guns, airless systems, an booths
- Excellent Close Vision
- Position requires occasional walking; also requires stretching, twisting, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Strict PPE Usage (pant suits, vented hoods) compliance.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a high noise level environment.
- Be able to mix paint and complete painting tasks according to the operation procedure.
- Perform all part finishing activities including sandblast, parts finishing, and wet spray.
- Understanding of the paint preparation including masking.
- Able to use, operate and maintain specialized equipment including wet spray guns, airless systems, booths, and operate and sandblast maintenance, etc.
- Must wear safety protection according to company policy.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace
- Team building, decision making, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Read and understand both verbal and written instructions.
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Professional Painting certification.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- HS Diploma / GED and 5-7 years relevant experience
