Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients, implementing care plans and performing prescribed treatments.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, record findings accurately, and update patient records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other nursing staff, to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and identify any changes in condition, promptly communicating concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, as well as federal and state regulations governing nursing practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote a culture of safety.
- Manage multiple patient assignments and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING:
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.
6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
