Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from last 12 months.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.

• ADN completion required

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

MS/Tele Respiratory

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

48 guaranteed hours

36 guaranteed hours may be considered upon approval for a 4/21 start date

You may submit minimal RTO requests.

Our Medical Respiratory Unit is a unit primarily specializing in the care of acute and chronic respiratory conditions. Nurses have a 1:6 ratio and provide care to predominately respiratory patients requiring treatment for pneumonia, shortness of breath, COPD, or other various lung diseases. In addition, this unit will further provide care to a variety of medical patients with GI issues, diabetes, and occasional stroke and surgical patients. Patients in this area benefit from daily rounds with the entire interdisciplinary team. Additionally, this unit houses an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit with a 1:4 nursing ratio.

Nursys required

2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of experience in the field of specialty.

Scrub Colors/Dress Code: Solid Navy

RNs Only - All RNs are required to complete a Cardiac Exam during onboarding. RNs are allowed two attempts and must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass prior to clearance. ICU and ED RNs will also be required to take an on-site test in addition to the online pre-test.
