Description:
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Will be responsible for selecting, preparing and placing instruments and supplies in a specified order. Scrubbing for procedures as a scrub nurse/scrub tech/assistant. Will be responsible for identifying, disassembling, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling and processing of all reusable supplies and patient care equipment used in the hospital.

Qualifications:
Minimum EducationAssociate Degree, Bachelor Degree or RN Diploma required.
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required SkillsAmerican Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months of employment
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required within 12 months of employment
Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) preferred
Minimum Work ExperienceOne to two years OR experience preferred; on-call will be required

Current TN or Multi-State RN licensure
