Engineering Group Lead Emotor Hairpin Stator/Rotor assembly
The UPEEngineering Group Leadis responsible for leading Manufacturing Engineering functions for Kokomo Indiana area powertrain/propulsion programs. Their primary role is to guide their Engineering team to develop and launch processes that meet all objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost Emotor manufacturing including stator and rotor assembly.
Main responsibilities include:
- Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studies
- Oversee engineering scope definition, Requests for Quotes (RFQ’s), sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of manufacturing equipment of electric hairpin stators and rotor assembly equipment.
- Manage all New Model (NM) program’s facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installation
- Lead activities on programs ensuring successful implementation and tracking of the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost)
- Lead their team in the implementation of Stellantis Production Way (SPW) methodology, supporting all activities including deployment of advanced SPW tools and guide systematic root cause problem solving methods to attack risks
- Development/improvement of process and equipment standards related to manufacturing engineering specifically for electric hairpin stator and rotor assembly.
- Lead industrialization for process design and installation of electric motor hairpin Stator and Rotor line manufacturing lines in Kokomo Indiana.
- Drive standardization across plants in all regions
- Lead procurement, design, build, install, qualification and launch of facilities and process supporting equipment and infrastructure
- Support Stellantis Production Way initiatives
