Position Summary:
The Emergency Department (ED) at Spring View Hospital, embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This is an 11-bed unit that ensures patients receive optimal medical attention and support.You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
The RN demonstrates professional development and clinical competency; utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Address health educational needs for patients, families and other healthcare providers.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family needs for ages neonate through geriatric.
- Manage patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and unit operations.
- Act in a clinical leadership role.
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s degree in nursing required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- 1+ years of ER experience preferred
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.
- CEN certification is preferred.
- TNCC certification within 12 months of hire or grandfather-in PHTLS certification
- PALS or ENPC certification within 12 months of hire
License:
- Current RN license in the state of Kentucky
