Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Performs House Supervisor responsibilities as needed to meet the needs of the facility. Delegate and coordinated nursing care throughout the hospital and ensures that quality nursing care is delivered.
Reports to: Senior Director
FLSA: Non-exempt
Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing Required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
License: Nurse should have a current state LPN license or a current multistate compact license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school
Certifications: BCLS; ACLS & PALS per unit specific requirements

Essential Functions
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with
performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
Non-Essential Functions
Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
