As a Technical Engineer, you will be supporting our engineering and manufacturing teams by creating precise and detailed drawings, ensuring design integrity, and maintaining meticulous documentation
Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Engineer in the Katy, TX area . This position will befull-timeand on-site, with possible Hybrid Schedule.
This is 6 months with possible extension or permanent placement.
What You'll Do
Create, revise, and maintain detailed technical drawings and schematics using SolidWorks
Work closely with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate concepts into accurate drawings
Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and project requirements
Generate product documentation and procedures where necessary
Manage and organize drawing files, records, and related documentation in a systematic and accessible manner.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making processes.
Support design reviews, quality checks, and production processes by providing accurate and timely drawings
What You'll Need
Required:
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Experience working in PDM system
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Prior experience in a drafting role, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or marine industries
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
