Patient Specific Medications Coordinator

Cleveland Clinic’s inpatient pharmacy areas support distributive and clinical pharmacy services provided by staff pharmacists, clinical pharmacy specialists and pharmacy technicians, supporting 60 nursing units, 80 operating rooms, 4 PACUs, and 10 cath labs, accounting for over 1,440 inpatient beds. As a Patient Specific Medications Coordinator, you will promote an integrated and coordinated approach to managing the patient specific medication process, serve as a liaison to patients and clinical teams on the patient specific medication process, and proactively reach out to patients and external specialty pharmacies to coordinate refills.
A caregiver in this position works days/evenings/nights/weekends between 12:00am – 11:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Implement, manage, and maintaininventory systems to order, control, expedite and inventory patient specific medications to enhance the fiscal management of the department.

Knowledge of insurance coverage, limitations, requirements, eligibility, pharmacy formulary, prior authorization, coordination of benefits.
