Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Community Outreach Programs, this position develops, promotes, and implements Community Health Choices (CHC) outreach and education initiatives, programs, and events throughout Pennsylvania; assists the manager in building an annual CHC outreach strategy that supports CHC goals and objectives; and ensures activities are carried out within company, state, and CMS compliance rules and regulations.
Position will:
- Collaborate effectively within AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies to develop and implement outreach and education efforts to serve new and existing CHC participants
- Accomplish goals with and through internal stakeholders in CHC (AmeriHealth Caritas CHC, Keystone First CHC collectively, “CHC”) and across the AmeriHealth Caritas organization (Pennsylvania Medicaid and Medicare plans, Pennsylvania shared services (Compliance, Regulatory and Communication), and corporate shared services (communications and IS).
- Build and maintain professional relationships with community organizations: develop their awareness of services and programs available to participants; identify partnership opportunities; partner with community organizations to host or otherwise participate in CHC participant-focused events.
- Coordinate outreach and education initiatives through all relevant avenues (via mail, text, telephone, mobile app, virtual meetings, and other means)
- Organize, schedule, and coordinate all face-to-face and virtual participant meetings and events.
- Represent CHC at events organized by AmeriHealth Caritas Medicare plans in Pennsylvania.
- Prepare internal and external reports.;
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a role interacting with leaders in organizations, structured groups, and the public, in roles that may include public relations, marketing, health communications, advertising, advocacy, and promotion
- Strong ties to the local community
- Strong interpersonal skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively and accountably to accomplish objectives; proven experience using technology platforms to effectively engage and; communicate information and health education to audiences that may not have advanced technology skills (ex., mobile platforms, texting, online meeting platforms, video, ); strong writing skills
- 75% of the time will be spent traveling.; Candidate must possess a valid PA driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.; Must be able to move freely within a community setting.
