Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a skilled Database Administratorto support vital systems in the defense of our Homeland. In this role, youwill be involved in ensuring databases are properly managed, maintained, and optimized to meet business needs.

This position is an onsite role, 5 days a week and requires a secret clearance.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as SQL-based systems and NoSQL databases
- Understanding of database architecture, schemas, and normalization
- Familiarity with database specific programming languages (PL/SQL for Oracle, T-SQL for SQL Server)
- Ability to design, implement, andmaintaindatabase structures (e.g., tables, indexes, triggers, stored procedures)
- Experience in database backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, andexecution
- Develop andmaintaindatabase backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability andintegrity
- Knowledge ofoptimizingdatabase performance by tuning queries, indexing, and managing database configurations
- Experience using performance monitoringtools
- Administer andmaintainmultiple Server database environments, including installation, configuration, and patchmanagement
- Create andmaintaindocumentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshootingguides

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

- 7+ years of work related experience required.

- A High School diploma or GED is required.

- Active Secret clearance is required.

- Due to federal requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered.

- This is an on-site position at a government facility.

- Requires presence on-site five days per week in Colorado Springs, CO.

- Candidates must reside within a commutable distance.

- Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
