Team Overview:Edward Jones is seeking a Senior Security Technical Architect to lead our technology transformation efforts. This individual will be responsible for setting the enterprise-level technical direction in alignment with our strategic roadmap for software security. By migrating our technology platforms both on premise and in the cloud, this person will assist in our digital transformation goals, increased business agility, elastic scalability, enhanced security, and reduction in our support for on-premise commodity solutions responsible for enterprise application security standards and strategic roadmaps.
The Senior Technical Architect will be responsible for working across all areas of the Digital Technology division, providing leadership on technology selection and operational processes for running core IS systems in a cloud environment.
What You'll Do:- Assumes the responsibilities of a Technical Architect II plus:
- Enterprise-wide architect, responsible for complete overall software security solutions delivered.
- Serves as one of the primary technical leaders for the Digital Division. Undertakes the most complex IT software security projects involving multiple disciplines or layers, some of which impact multiple business units.
- Actively participates in overall leadership of the company and makes final technical recommendations to Senior peers and leadership.
- Establishes partnerships in the Digital community.
- Actively monitor the competitive landscape for new players and participates in industry forums, technical conferences, and standards groups as the technical leader in software security for the company.
- Be the key liaison with external business partners supporting R&D efforts and ensure strategic partners deliver on commitments and key milestones.
- Represents the Digital Division during complex contract negotiations.

- Must be able to solve technical challenges in critical situations that require immediate resolution and demonstrates an understanding of risk management concepts.
- High: Will execute large number of decisions regarding systems or processes within their area of responsibility impacting the architecture of the division. They must be able to handle escalations, which will vary in complexity and often impact other areas. Needs to be able to effectively resolve complex problems while working across multiple areas of IS and the business.
- High: Typically working across multiple platforms (Mainframe, Web, Client Server, Applications, Kubernetes).
