Our client, a leader in the engineering sector, is seeking a Highway Project Engineer to join their team. As a Highway Project Engineer, you will be part of the design team supporting various highway-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Highway Project Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000
What's the Job
- Lead the design team developing roadway improvements for highway-related projects.
- Coordinate design elements over multiple disciplines.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee project team scheduling and progress.
- Review and seal plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding as Engineer of Record.
- Mentor, review, and check work of junior staff.
What's Needed
- Minimum 6 years of direct experience in the design of transportation projects.
- BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required.
- PE license preferred or willingness to obtain one.
- MicroStation and InRoads or OpenRoads experience required; other highway software experience may be accepted.
- Ability to perform project site visits.
