Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from last 4 years.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Guaranteed 36 hours per week
First to Float between College Station and Bryan campus (16 minutes apart) as needed
Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
RN must pass the Basic Dysrhythmia (83%) before signing the contract. They will be given three attempts to pass.
Special Information: Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination
Common diagnoses/Types of patients “Basic surgical-appys, choles, etc, some ortho-shoulders, hips, knees; basic cardiac, day 2 post STEMI, medical, COPD, suicidal pts, renal disease, large geriatric population-lots of wounds, bedsores, some trauma
RN MUST be able to 100% read and interpret strips
Travelers fill in the gaps on first schedule, will try to get travelers a block schedule after that
Weekend Requirement every other weekend
Holiday Requirement rotate in with core staff
No Call or a Standby requirement
Floating Requirements: intermixed between tele and MS on this floor. May float to ICU or ER to care for overflow. Will float in perm staff rotation
Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided Navy - undershirts must be navy. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.
Unit/Department specific orientation: Day 1 policies and procedures, access to systems, agency gets a packet with items to know. 2 shifts on the floor with a preceptor, if they have Meditech experience they will only get 2 days of orientation on the floor
