The Maintenance Technician III will assist the Supervisorandfacilitiesstaff asassignedwithfacility operations ofallowned and leasedCatholic Charitiesproperties toensureresidentandstaffsafety.Performswork functionsin avariety of buildingtradeareas, includingsome custodialdutiesincludingroom turns.

The Maintenance Technician III will complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures. Ensures repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities. Responds to spills and other emergency situations, performing tasks necessary. Assists in emergencies as needed.

Schedule will be day shift Tuesday through Saturday, Thursday through Tuesday, or Sunday through Thursday. Responsibleforon-calldutieseveningsandholidays asscheduled.

Pay: $32/hour - $41/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’seducation, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location,and alignment with market data.

Essential Functions

  • Respondsto work ordersandperformsnecessaryrepairsasneededtoensureand maintainasafeoccupancy and ahigh-quality livingenvironmentby completingwork ordersforassignedareas,assistwithgrounds maintenance,performspreventativeand routinemaintenanceon all buildingequipment,andperformsscheduledmaintenance inspections asassigned.
  • Purchasessuppliesasneeded avoidingoverstockingandensuringsuppliesareavailable onatimely basiswiththelowest possiblecost.
  • Provideson-callcoverage forCatholicCharitiesFacilitiesManagementasscheduled.
  • Repairsbasic electrical andplumbingdevices toensureallareingoodworkingorder.
  • Beenvironmentally conscientious, i.e.:
    • Toensureitems disposedare disposableandnot recyclable.
    • Becognizant of hazardous waste,metals,paper,corrugated,and certainglass.
    • Report hazardous conditions encountered to yoursupervisorimmediately.
  • Assistswith orcompletesunit turnovers(room packups) in atimelymannerand removesandsecuresresident belongingsforstorageandreleaseuponrequestfrom authorized staff, prepares or helpstoprepare unitfornew tenant.
  • Performsotherdutiesasassigned.

Requirements

  • Highschooldiplomaorequivalency
  • Three (3) years'experience in building maintenancerequired, preferably in a residential environment
  • Special Low Pressure Boiler License required
  • Abilitytoget a2nd Class C Boiler License
  • Buildingmaintenance/tradeprogram graduate, certification highly preferred
  • HVAC experiencerequired
  • Knowledgeof basicplumbing,electrical,andmechanicalsystems,andbuildingsafety regulations.
  • Skillsinprioritizingandorganizingwork requests.
  • Valid driver’slicenseand reliablevehiclerequired.
  • Requiredtosupply aset of basic handtoolstoperformjob duties.
  • Mustbeabletolift up to50lbs. onanoccasional tofrequent basis.
  • Experiencein snow removalandlawncare preferred.
  • Basic computerskillsdesired
