Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Echo Cardiovascular Technologist for a LENGTHweek travel assignment in CITY, STATE. Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Echo Cardiovascular Technologist.
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
Current ARRT Certification in sonography
Current Credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
The Cardiovascular Sonographer creates 2-D and 3-D pictures of patient's hearts using advanced
ultrasound equipment to aid with medical diagnosis. They ensure image quality, provide patient
education, and collaborate with healthcare teams to assist in accurate medical diagnosis while
adhering to safety and ethical standards.
Essential Work Functions:
Educate patients about echocardiography procedures addressing questions if they arise
Prepare and position patients for echocardiographic imaging to achieve accuratediagnostic results
Conduct transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), and stress echocardiograms to assess cardiac structure, function, and hemodynamics
Evaluate arterial and venous systems (e.g., carotid, peripheral, and abdominal vessels) todetect stenoses, occlusions, aneurysms, or other vascular abnormalities
Required Essential Skills:
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills
The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required
Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate
