This role involves close collaboration with Product Management, Sales, and Applications Engineering, focusing on understanding and anticipating technical project requirements. You will be conducting feasibility reviews, assisting in proposal costing estimates, managing product development, documentation, testing customizations, and overseeing technical activities.
Job Title:Advanced Product Solutions Engineer
Location: Camarillo, CA
Pay Range: $105,000 - $135,000
What’s the Job
Participate in pre-sale meetings and discussions with potential customers, anticipating technical project needs and risks while managing expectations. Provide technical presentations, both at company and customer sites, to support sales efforts.
Collaborate with product development engineers to conduct feasibility evaluations for specialized applications and requested customizations, including products, documentation, and testing. Establish and conduct design of experiments (DOE) and testing as necessary.
Oversee and contribute to the implementation of custom designs, testing protocols, and documentation requirements.
Manage installation, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), validation, and other key activities, rapidly addressing any issues.
Organize and maintain project plans and associated documentation, ensuring efficient communication with stakeholders.
Leverage product, customer, and process knowledge to contribute to product development and quality improvement initiatives.
What’s Needed
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience related to capital equipment selection, procurement, installation, and validation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use CAD software as needed.
Good understanding of GMP and FDA process/equipment validation, and SOP writing.
Proven ability to manage high-value projects with tight timelines, including effective communication with customers and vendors.
