Shift: 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from last 4 years.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday for Nights)
Floating Requirement: First to float. Float into our Multi Care Unit & Pediatric unit to care for adult MST, also float to our West Campus MedSurg Tele.
Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
Call or standby requirement: If low census, staff rotates standby turns. Travelers may or may not be in rotation for low census depending on contract.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Surgical: total hip & knee replacement, small bowel resection, Hysterectomy, exploratory lap.
Medical: MRSA, C-diff infections, suicide attempt, drug or
Alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, COVID
Telemetry: chest pain
Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: Will need to be able to read and interpret telemetry. May be asked to precept nursing students.
Dysrhythmia exam on hire. Minimum of 1 year in MedSurg, prefer candidates with experience in telemetry. Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Currently can wear any scrub color except camouflage
Unit/Department specific orientation: Attend hospital orientation, unit orientation based on experience.
Must be willing to precept nursing students.
