Position Overview

The Director of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations and processes within the SFO HUB operations. We are seeking a strong leader with exceptional people management skills, focusing on optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with corporate standards and safety regulations. The Director will provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This position will require strong collaboration skills as you will have the opportunity to work on various optimization initiatives and work closely with various departments, including HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Lean, and others. The Director will also be responsible for setting up and monitoring KPIs, managing departmental financial indicators, and driving engagement and recognition within the team. This position will report directly to the Vice President - Operations for the SFO Hub.

  • Location: Near San Francisco International airport
  • Work: Onsite @ our Customer Service Center / facility
  • Working Conditions: Hands-on position based in a food production / manufacturing environment requiring presence on the floor

How Your'll Elevate Our Team

Business Strategy, Policies and Tools
• Collaborate with Customer Service Center and North America Region senior leadership on CSC strategic planning
• Ensure compliance with the policies provided by CSC and Corporate
• Champion strategic deployment efforts throughout the Customer Service Center

Managing Business
• Provide data for the development of an annual business plan and budgeting for the CSC
• Implement the short -term manufacturing (or operation) planning in coordination with other relevant interfaces
• Ensure efficient and timely corrective actions in case of significant deviations
• Oversee the CSC economic and operating performance. Ensure that the CSC is managed and controlled efficiently in line with the company’s framework and market requirements.
• Ensure optimal deployment of human, technical and material resources in the CSC
• Ensure the ordering of all materials needed at the CSC
• Ensure that the CSC work methods are in line with the company’s standards and customer contracts
• Initiate Capex requests
• Initiate and control continuous optimization of processes
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality guidelines provided by Corporate and local regulations and customer requirements
• Ensure clear communication and close cooperation with all relevant internal and external interfaces

Leadership
• Create and drive a workplace safety culture across the operations disciplines: employee, food, and ramp safety.
• Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
• Guide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees within the Human Resources Policy and build team to support succession planning
• Participates in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the team
• Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s)
• Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
• Champion company and regulatory initiatives such as Global Quality Standard (GQS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and principles of Lean Manufacturing

What We Look for in a Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in similar role is required
  • Experience in managing multiple departments
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Polished presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
