Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience is required from any number of months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
Shift: D/N: shifts range from 0700-1930, 1100-2330, 1900-0730, 2300-1130
No on call requirement
Weekend: Every Other
Float Requirement: Will float between MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC Units, ED/PACU to care for ICU/IMC boarders
2 years of experience: ICU, Surgical ICU, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, IV therapy, IV sedation, chemo administration
RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.
No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.
Return Staff Policy: If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
