As a K-8 Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and social-emotional growth of our students. You will cultivate a dynamic and engaging classroom environment where curiosity is encouraged, and every child feels empowered to learn and grow. You will have the opportunity to implement a proven curriculum while bringing your own creativity and passion to deliver impactful and meaningful instruction. By thoughtfully analyzing student data, you will tailor your teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of individual learners, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive. Collaboration is at the heart of our success, and you will work closely with fellow teachers and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning experience for all students.
What You’ll Do:
- Cultivate a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love of learning, respect, and collaboration.
- Deliver effective instruction utilizing a proven curriculum, adapting and modifying lessons to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Analyze student data from various assessments to inform instructional practices, identify areas for growth, and personalize learning experiences.
- Collaborate effectively with grade-level teams, support staff (e.g., specialists, counselors), and administrators to develop and implement individualized learning plans and ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Maintain open and proactive communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and any areas of concern.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance teaching skills, stay informed about current educational best practices, and contribute to the school’s professional learning community.
- Prepare to assume the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher when a vacancy becomes available, demonstrating strong classroom management and instructional skills.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Valid state teaching license/certification for the relevant grade levels (K-8) OR demonstrated eligibility to meet alternative certification requirements (support may be provided for alternative certification pathways).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds (e.g., classroom materials, student work).
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time during instruction and other classroom activities.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-traffic, indoor environment with moderate noise levels.
- Flexibility to work adjusted hours as needed for occasional school events or meetings.
