Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from any number of months.
• 3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required from the last 2 years
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a New Hampshire license or compact license (required for submission).
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.
Additional Details:
Recent experience at a level 1 trauma center is required.
No block scheduling.
Going guarantee 36 hours / week
D/N Rotation only.
RN Patient ratios: days: 1:4 nights 1:5.
36 bed adult surgical unit that cares primarily for trauma patients and acute care surgical patients. This unit does have 2 negative pressure rooms that can serve our COVID population. This is a very busy unit where rehabilitating and supporting our patients needs is our highest priority. The most common diagnosis on the unit; Traumas including: spinal cord injuries(new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries occurring as a result of a trauma. Acute Care Surgical diagnosis: hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, cholecystectomy. Travelers need to have experience on a fast pace medical surgical unit preferably with Level I Trauma center experience but serval years at a Level II Trauma center is acceptable.
Required Experience:
Chest tubes
Tubes
Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
Trachs/Laryngectomies
Telemetry
Complex wounds
Central Lines- care and maintenance and blood draws
Maximum days off: 7 days
