Join our dynamic team as a Safety Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment across our operations! As Safety Manager, you will:
• Ensure compliance with company employee safety initiatives, ramp safety protocols, and airline requirements at our Customer Service Center (CSC)facilities that handle ground support and catering services for airlines.
• Proactively address safety concerns with both internal teams and external customers, driving effective resolutions.
• Conduct thorough audits of our facilities, including reviewing training programs, retraining, new hire documentation, and ensuring adherence to safety standards outlined in the Safety Management Guide and Ramp Safety Operating Procedures.
• Lead mock OSHA and Ramp Safety Audits to ensure ongoing safety compliance and readiness.
• Coach and support our teams to excel in airline safety audits and meet airline safety requirements, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Provide guidance to ensure proper training for staff who operate vehicles and guide aircraft, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Analyze trends in employee injuries, as well as aircraft, auto, and property damages, and develop action plans to reduce these incidents.
• Offer training on how to conduct accident and injury investigations, including root cause analysis, to improve safety processes.
• Actively participate in safety meetings with key business partners, including major airlines and logistics companies.
• Attend training sessions to stay certified on safety procedures related to aircraft doors, galleys, and other airline equipment.
• Oversee the collection and analysis of data related to employee injuries and damages, using insights to implement proactive safety measures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, including OSHA, FAA, EPA, DOT, and airline-specific safety requirements.
• Work with airline manufacturers to help design and improve ground support equipment for new aircraft.
• Support company-wide initiatives like Lean Manufacturing, driving safety improvements across all operations.
• Model corporate values and actively contribute to safety-focused groups, initiatives, and advisory bodies.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on safety, providing support and guidance to other departments to enhance safety protocols.
