Job Duties:
- Review production sheets and menus to determine the type and quantity of foods to prepare.
- Follow recipes and guidelines to prepare assigned menu items.
- Arrange and present food attractively and appetizingly.
- Test food by tasting, smelling, and using a thermometer to ensure it meets health and recipe standards.
- Prepare various menu items (vegetables, fish, meat, casseroles, soups, etc.) using kitchen equipment like kettles, ovens, and fryers.
- Follow instructions for batch cooling to support smooth operations in the tray line, dining room, and service areas.
- Monitor food quality, including temperature and accuracy.
- Set up and place food items for resident trays and other service areas.
- Verify menus and quantities using established forms.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
- Training will be provided to ensure safe equipment use.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience in cooking or food preparation. Experience in short-order and breakfast cooking is a plus.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as slicers, slow cookers and proper knife handling.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- A two-year degree in culinary arts, hotel/restaurant management, or a related field is a bonus.
