The primary purpose of this role is to translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs and to deliver code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions. This includes developing, configuring, or modifying complex integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments. This role facilitates the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications.
Frontend Development for Configurators:
Lead the development and enhancement of our product configurator platform, creating rich, interactive user interfaces that support complex customization options.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate intricate design specifications into dynamic, high-performance web applications.
Implement advanced features such as product visualization, real-time customer messaging, and interactive design tools.
Technical Leadership:
Guide the technical strategy and architecture for the configurator platform, ensuring it aligns with both current and future needs.
Mentor and support junior developers, sharing expertise and best practices related to frontend development and configurator technologies.
Work closely with backend engineers to integrate and optimize APIs that power the configurator's dynamic features.
Innovation and Performance:
Drive innovation by exploring and integrating cutting-edge technologies and frameworks to enhance the configurator experience.
Optimize the platform for performance and scalability, ensuring seamless interactions and fast response times even with complex configurations.
Address and resolve technical challenges related to rendering, data management, and user interaction within the configurator.
User Experience and Testing:
Ensure the configurator platform provides an intuitive, engaging, and error-free experience for users, enhancing usability and accessibility.
Implement robust testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to maintain high quality and reliability.
Collect and analyze user feedback to continuously improve the configurator's functionality and performance.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to understand and define requirements for new features and improvements.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend engineers, to deliver cohesive and high-quality solutions.
Participate in and contribute to team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and technical reviews.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
5 years of experience in software development or a related field
4 years of experience in database technologies
4 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
5 years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization
5 years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software
5 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software development environment
3 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
3 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
5 years of experience working with source code control systems
Experience working with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment tools
5 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
