Who exactly are UPS Vehicle Shifters
They are drivers who keep trailers moving all around UPS property so they can be unloaded, repositioned, and loaded again. Depending on the facility, they may also move trailers off property. Vehicle shifters are good at backing up trailers to the bay door.
SHIFT YOUR SKILLS
So, what does it take to make it as a vehicle shifter
- The ability to operate a powered industrial truck (PIT) or tractor trailer
- The ability to back trailers safely
- Valid driver’s license—CDL required
- Doubles/Triples endorsement may be needed depending on location
- Pass the DOT physical
- Excellent driving skills and a good driving record
- Reliable and responsible
- Legal right to work in the U.S.

The base pay for this position is $23.00/hour
