About the Role
As a Supervisor, Distribution Center, you will support retail operations by managing the day-to-day execution of merchandise processing through the Fulfillment Network.
What You’ll Do
Manage the workflow of several departments in conjunction with individual department supervisors
Develop and maintain accuracy standards to ensure unit inventory integrity
Align with business partners to resolve issues and ensure efficient service
Ensure dynamic staffing to meet company goals
Effectively manage staff to meet productivity and cost goals
Monitor safety and accident incident reports to reduce lost time and ensure performance best practices
Evaluate and track level of service and accuracy standards
Lead direct reports to achieve unit goals
Increase associate engagement by developing and communicating a clear vision
Maintain open communication, set clear objectives and remove barriers
Develop an effective staff through coaching and performance feedback
Follow all company, state, local and OSHA safety rules, policies and regulations to promote a safe work environment; promptly report any potential violations to the appropriate supervisor/manager
Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards and guidelines, including those related to accuracy and productivity
Maintain regular and acceptable attendance as set by the company and comply with dress code requirements
Maintain a flexible work schedule and adhere to the requirement of working any designated shift and overtime as requested per business and operational needs.
What Skills You Have
Required
Prior experience managing teams in a distribution warehouse environment
Working knowledge of automated distribution and warehouse systems
Bachelor’s or advanced degree
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
Flexibility in hours to support multi-shift operations
Effective collaboration and teamwork skills
Adept multi-tasking abilities
Ability to satisfactorily complete company training programs and cross-train in at least 2 departments
Preferred
1-2 years of experience with Operations and Operational Support Systems (WMS, WCS, LMS)
1-2 years automated MHE and SQL experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and as a team for the achievement of customer satisfaction
Ability to work under general supervision and use knowledge and experience to provide quality support to the user community
