Job Summary
Responsible for the payroll/benefits/general warehouse recruiting and file administration functions within the HR Department. Performs duties directly related to, payroll, file administration, benefits, leaves of absences, supporting recruiting efforts and preparing reports associated with these functions. Provide customer service to associates, responds to requests for information and completes the necessary HR related forms and documents. Interacts with Home Office on a variety of HR related issues.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Handle the clerical/administration function within the HR department
- Assist Staffing department with scheduling and conducting interviews, organizing orientations, and new hire supply preparation
- Complete I9 employment verification and performs other duties as assigned
- Update and maintain HRIS to include personnel files, profiles, new hire paperwork, and personnel change status
- Maintain degree of confidentiality and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Assist with payroll system, petty cash, and create payroll adjustments/increases as well as completion of calendar entries
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with General Warehouse Associates, DC Management, and Home Office Business Partners.
- Interacts with Home Office on HR administrative issues and keeps the Human Resources Supervisor informed, as needed.
- Assist with all aspects of recruitment including creating new hire packets, and personnel files
- Audit current associate files
- Assist other HRA’s in payroll/benefits coverage when needed.

Minimum education/experience required to perform this job:
High School Diploma / 1-2 years related experience
