JOB DESCRIPTION: Position is based in Charlotte, NC, some teleworking may be permitted. Travel to Lowe’s offices may be required.
Translates complex cross-functional business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs, modules, stable application systems, and data solutions; partners with Product Team to understand business needs and functional specifications. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs; evaluates project deliverables to ensure they meet specifications and architectural standards. Executes the development, maintenance, and enhancements of data ingestion solutions of varying complexity levels across various data sources like DBMS, File systems (structured and unstructured), APIs and Streaming on on-prem and cloud infrastructure; demonstrates strong acumen in Data Ingestion toolsets and nurtures and grows junior members in this capability. Excels in one or more domains; understands pipelines and business metrics and develops expertise on cloud-based data stacks and pipeline development. Executes the development, maintenance, and enhancements of BI solutions of varying complexity levels across different data sources like DBMS, File systems (structured and unstructured) on-prem and cloud infrastructure; creates level metrics and other complex metrics; use custom groups, consolidations, drilling, and complex filters. Excels in one or more domains; understands pipelines and business metrics and develops expertise on cloud-based BI stacks. Administers crucial and complex Bigdata/Hadoop infrastructure to enable next generation analytics and data science capabilities. Establishes big data environments based on Hadoop. Drives innovation of our big data capabilities through research and hands-on practice.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job requires a Bachelor’s Degree* in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in any job title/occupation involving in Data, BI, Platform Engineering, Data Warehousing/ETL, or Software Engineering or a related field. *Employer will accept single degree or combination of degrees, diplomas and/or professional experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
Must have prior experience in:
• 5 years of experience in:
• Design and building Data Pipelines using the python scripts;
• Performance tuning of reports within tableau server and Tableau dashboards;
• Works to ensure the manipulation and administration of data and systems are secure and in accordance with enterprise governance by staying compliant with industry best practices, enterprise standards, corporate policy and department procedures; handles the manipulation (extract, load, transform), data visualization, and administration of data and systems securely and in accordance with enterprise data governance standards;
• Design and build of complex Data or Platform solutions and ensures that teams are in alignment with the architecture blueprint, standards, target state architecture, and strategies;
• Creating docker containers leveraging existing Linux containers;
• Build and deployment process using shell script; and
• Executes the development, maintenance, and enhancements of data ingestion solutions of varying complexity levels across various data sources like DBMS, File systems (structured and unstructured), APIs and Streaming on on-prem and cloud infrastructure; demonstrates strong acumen in Data Ingestion toolsets.
• 3 years of experience in:
• Works with business analysts to understand requirements and create dashboard using tools Superset and Tableau; and
• Install/upgrade and maintain the superset tool from open source.
• 2 years of experience in Leverage monitoring tools/framework like Grafana and Splunk.
• 1 year of experience in Installing and maintaining the Trino/Presto SQL engine as a platform from open source and also needs to configure accordingly to project needs.
