
At Diesel Rehab, we specialize in re-manufacturing heavy-duty diesel engines for the transportation industry. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diesel Engine Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and re-manufacturing diesel engines, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical expertise, a commitment to safety and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday (10 hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine issues, including fuel systems, electrical components, and exhaust systems.
- Perform engine re-manufacturing, including disassembly, inspection, machining, and reassembly of components.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal engine performance and efficiency.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and recommend effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members and provide technical support as needed.
- Stay updated on emerging diesel technologies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:
- Five or more years of experience as a diesel technician, preferably in engine re-manufacturing or heavy-duty vehicle repair.
- Must have own tools.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine principles and concepts.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and technical schematics.
- Any experience with OEM computer programs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening.
- Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift heavy components and work in physically demanding environments.
