In this position you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical/electronic systems, components and apparatus for machinery and equipment in an industrial setting. We Offer Secure, long-term employmentCompetitive wage and benefits packageTraining and developmentOpportunities for advancementOT available What You'll Get To Do Perform electrical repair and maintenance involving disassembly, overhaul, assembly, and adjustments of crushing and screening or mobile equipment components.Perform electrical repair and maintenance on ready mix concrete plants.Replaces or repairs faulty electrical components of machinery, such as relays, motors, switches, printed circuit boards and position sensing devices. Rewires motors.Uses PC and PLC programming to troubleshoot process control issues for automated machinery. Calibrates instrumentation using programing devices.Troubleshoots and repairs variable speed drives, process analyzers and measuring equipment.Reads blueprints, schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures and diagnose problems. Will update prints to reflect field changes.Discusses operation variations with supervisors or other electrical and maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.Installs power or instrumentation wiring and conduit for machinery and equipment.Uses standard hand tools, instruments and power tools as required.Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, and with Company policies and procedures. What We Are Looking For Experience working in a heavy industrial / manufacturing environment.Valid interprovincial or Red Seal Electrician ticket.System knowledge of HMI and PLC control systemsAbility to read and interpret mechanical schematics, drawings and blueprints.Ability to solve practical problems and perform all technical aspects of the job using the appropriate tools or systems.Proficient computer skills.Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads, sometimes 75+ lbs.Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditionsRequires lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, working at elevated heights, at times in tight and awkward positions.
