Description Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Radar Engineer to join a talented team within the RF System Technologies Department. The department’s goals include radar system development, integration, and testing. These goals include the inhouse development of hardware subsystems to include T/R modules antennas, and digital receiver/ exciters using a combination of IRAD and customer funding. The department performs radar design, hardware builds, algorithm development, software development, HWIL testing and analysis across a variety of both research and development and operational tasks.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will support a broad set of phased array radar hardware and software design, prototyping, integration, testing, and analysis activities. Description Leidos Defense Systems currently has an opening in our Uncrewed Systems Integration and Test Team for a Communications Signal Processing Engineer to work in our Huntsville, AL office. This is an exciting opportunity to help DoD Uncrewed Systems pioneer new data communications technology ensuring mission success.Primary Responsibilities.The Communications Signal Processing Engineer will research and develop advanced signal processing algorithms and perform test and analysis of advanced protected (anti-jam [AJ] / low probability of detection [LPD]) waveforms, providing performance and vulnerability assessments to our DoD customers for existing and candidate UAS data link waveforms.
