Description: 03130 RN OR/Surgical Services STRHS-Lawrenceburg Job Description Report to the Director, the staff RN is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to those patient via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other healthcare team members. If assigned as charge nurse, will serve as resource for coordination of activities on the unit. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Required SkillsCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 week of hire and before supporting patients independently.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be obtained within 6 months of hire following new hire orientation.Required SkillsLicenses: Current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee.Minimum EducationLicenses:Current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee is required.Current and active Licensed Registered Nurse First Assist is preferred.
