Performs preventative maintenance and repair to ensure proper operation and upkeep of facilities, general electrical and plumbing systems, conveyor systems, electronic sorters, forklifts and various other powered material handling equipment. 1. Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on general electrical and plumbing systems, conveyor systems, electronic sorters, forklifts and various other powered material handling equipment. 2. Performs troubleshooting on equipment breakdown as instructed including disassembly, repair, parts replacement and parts fabrication to minimize equipment downtime. 3. Performs general carpentry, painting, electrical, welding, plumbing and HVAC installations as required. 4. Installs and repairs DC storage racks as required. 5. Maintains and completes various maintenance documents including but not limited to work order requests, preventative maintenance and daily job breakdown summaries, parts requests and parts purchase orders. 6. Performs semi-routine duties where some judgment is required. Work is performed under defined and uniform procedures. 7. Ability to climb and work at high elevations required. 5. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, utilize basic hand tools and electrical and/or electronic test equipment including volt/ohm meters and amp probes strongly preferred. 6. Ability to handle multiple tasks, be detail oriented, meet department standards and perform duties without immediate and constant supervision. 7. Previous Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge preferred. 8. Previous experience in the repair of powered material handling equipment strongly preferred. 9.
