Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its “Top 100 Places to Work.”Overview:Mercy Women & Children's is a comprehensive service line that includes 12 Labor & Delivery Suites, 2 Obstetric Operating Suites, 6 High Risk Perinatal Suites, 14 Mother/Baby Couplet Care Suites, a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with 19 private suites and special suites for multiples and a 20-bed Pediatric/GYN/Surgical unit. The Transition Nursery RN is responsible for providing comprehensive care to newborns during the critical first two hours of life. This role involves attending deliveries, performing resuscitation, conducting thorough assessments, and ensuring the overall well-being of newborns. You will administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor and document newborns’ progress and condition. Additionally, the RN will prepare women for cesarean sections (CS) and manage the recovery process for both vaginal and CS deliveries. The RN will also support the department by stocking supplies and performing various tasks as needed.
