We are seeking a Licensed HVAC Technician to join our facilities team, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within an educational environment. This role is essential in ensuring a comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient atmosphere for students, teachers, and staff across school buildings and campus facilities.
Pay: $28.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:
HVAC System Maintenance & RepairInspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, and ventilation systems.Ensure proper functioning of temperature control systems, thermostats, and building automation systems (BAS).Perform seasonal maintenance on heating and cooling systems to optimize performance and efficiency.Installation & System UpgradesInstall and replace HVAC components, ductwork, and air filtration systems in classrooms, offices, gymnasiums, and other school facilities.Upgrade HVAC equipment to meet energy efficiency goals and district sustainability initiatives.Preventative Maintenance & ComplianceDevelop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of HVAC systems and reduce costly repairs.Ensure compliance with state and federal HVAC codes, school district policies, and safety regulations.Monitor and maintain indoor air quality (IAQ) standards to provide a healthy learning environment.Emergency Response & TroubleshootingRespond promptly to HVAC emergencies such as system failures, poor air circulation, and temperature inconsistencies that impact learning conditions.Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime and disruption to school activities.Collaboration & DocumentationWork closely with school administrators, custodial staff, and maintenance teams to coordinate HVAC repairs and projects.Maintain accurate records of work completed, system performance, and required repairs for compliance and budgeting purposes.

Qualifications:
Valid state HVAC license and EPA certification5 years of HVAC experience (experience in an educational or commercial setting preferred)Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and energy management systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficientlyExperience with preventative maintenance and emergency repairsStrong communication and teamwork skillsPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform manual labor as needed
