POSITION SUMMARY: The mission and purpose this position is to compassionately deliver high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced patient care in a professional, caring and cost-effective manner. Paramedic Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol. Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical care. Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls. Paramedic will provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements. Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care. Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information. Reporting to the Manager of Radiology this position provides health care services, applying x-ray energy, computer processing or pulsed radio-frequency waves and magnetic energy to assist in diagnoses or treatment; performs related procedures producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner while exercising professional judgment in performance of services, and applies appropriate patient care recognizing patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with advanced certification in CT (ARRT-CT) required if assigned to CT.Current BLS certification required.Certification by the State of California (CRT) required.Certification by the State of California in Fluoroscopy required for Radiology Tech II and above.MAB test required within 6 months of hire if assigned to work in the Emergency Department.
