This position requires approximately 20% hands-on fieldwork and 80% office work and works at the close direction of the Plant Manager.CompensationResponsibilitiesResponsible for the direction and management of all maintenance activities in the Plant and QuarryOrganizes and oversees all preventative maintenance work as well as emergency repairs to equipmentSupervises the planner, maintenance engineer, electrical, mechanical, and garage supervisorsResponsible for staying within budgets set by the Plant ManagerAssists Plant Managerin Kiln reline organization, planning, and executionDevelop and implement successful training programs for plant personnelWorks with the Engineering department on specifications and development of CAPEX projectsEnsure compliance with all federal, state, local labor, safety, and environmental regulationsResponsible for machinery reliability improvementResponsible for maintenance planning, daily and yearly outages, and predictive maintenanceManages spare partsPlans, coordinates, and schedules work requiredEducationBachelor's degree in engineering preferredRequirements/QualificationsPhysical requirements: working in confined spaces, welding, cutting, ability to lift over 50 lbs., climb up to elevations of 100 ft.Ability to operate mobile equipment (forklift, manlift, front-end loader, boom truck, crane)Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteSolid mechanical/control system skills and the ability to train othersAble to work effectively both individually and as part of a teamStrong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skillsConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
