Essential Work Functions:Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients appropriately Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology Provide high-quality images to Radiologist for interpretation Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safetyPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic servicesAbility to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice Required Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
