Travel Mammography TechnologistCompany: Fusion Medical StaffingLocation: Hospital in San Luis Obispo, CAJob DetailsFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Mammography Tech for a 13week travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA.As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications: One year's experience as a Mammography TechCurrent state license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications: Current ARRT CertificationOther certifications or licenses may be required for this position Summary: The Mammography Technologist implements orders from physicians and assists with procedures to help diagnose and treat breast disease in patients. They perform screenings and diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases. They ensure accurate imaging, maintain compliance with radiation safety standards, and provide compassionate care to patients. Working collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams, they prioritize patient safety and comfort while maintaining high-quality imaging practices. Essential Work Functions: Explains procedure to patients and answers questions if they arisePositions patient appropriately for imaging procedureMaintains equipment, ensures machines are functioning properly, and organizes theprocedure room for optimal safety and efficiencyMaintains patient records and adds medical notes related to procedureMonitor image quality during procedures, adjusting as needed achieve diagnosticaccuracyCollaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare teams as necessaryFollows hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for MammographyTechnologists Required Essential Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required.Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
