This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, financial analysis and a proven track record in sales leadership. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time for reasonable accommodations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and implement sales strategies aligned with hotel goals, informed by market trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis.Lead the annual sales budgeting process, ensuring effective resource allocation.Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, agencies, and vendors; prospect through various lines of communication, negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure deliverables align with Marriott brand and hotel standards.Collaborate with other departments to align sales strategies with overall hotel goals.Present sales strategies and performance reports to the executive team.Act as the primary sales spokesperson at industry events.Direct and mentor the sales team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.Set and monitor sales targets, providing coaching to ensure objectives are met or exceeded.Utilize data and analytics to inform sales strategies, track performance, and adjust as necessary.Stay current with sales technologies and tools to enhance team efficiency.Conduct hotel tours, entertain potential clients, and adhere to company policies.Assist and supervise Sales Managers, and perform additional duties as requested by the General Manager, including hosting functions and participating in sales blitzes.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervises Sales Manager and assistants. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws.
