The MLS Lead oversees Point-of-Care (POC) testing and waived and moderate complexity tests while also being responsible for scheduling, training, annual competencies, and regulatory paperwork. At the FSED, all lab techs work to the full extent of their scope and assist in the emergency department whenever possible.
